More than 270 miles away from the “secluded” Mennonite community the body of a missing New Mexico woman has been discovered, investigators are calling it murder. On January 18, outside her Mennonite church in Farmington is where she was last seen, her call was also seen there still in the parking lot. The description matched her body that was found Friday near Sunset Crater National Monument in Flagstaff, Ariz. The sheriff of the New Mexico San Juan Country, Shane Ferrai said the case changed to a criminal investigation as authorities work to identify and comprehend the person responsible for the “kidnap and murder.”
