Don’t Forget to Hydrate

Don't Forget to Hydrate

Austin King, Staff Writer

Hydration is a huge role in your everyday life because water is 60% of your body. If you do not drink enough water you will get dehydrated and the symptoms can be headaches, dry lips, dizziness and possibly cause you to pass out and fall to the ground. You should think of water as a nutrient your body needs that is present in liquids, plain water, and food. All of these essential nutrients replace water lost each day. Your water input does not equal your output of water. You lose more fluids during warmer days because when you sweat you are losing more water than you intake. Electrolytes are a good thing to intake in your body because they help you put nutrients back in your body that you have lost.
