The active shooter at NAS Pensacola was a Saudi national, Gov. Ron Desantis has confirmed. The FBI has taken the lead in the counting investigation, though there has been no immediate determination on whether the shooting was a terror related, according to two people familiar with the investigation. The shooter opened fire at 7 a.m Friday and was killed by Escambia County Sheriff’s Office deputies shortly afterwards. 4 people are confirmed dead, including the shooter, and at least seven people are injured. The base is expected to be on lockdown all Friday.
