Almost fourteen years ago, 29 percent of high school seniors started vaping. One vape pod is equivalent to one whole pack of cigarettes. When vaping, the vaporized chemicals crystallize in your lungs. The vaping chemicals can cause cancer and birth defects. Vaping can cause lung disease, cardiovascular disease, and bronchiolitis obliterans (also known as popcorn lung). Any type of vape device may be harmful, studies show that the percentage of teens and young adults have gone up a lot since they first became publicized. The human brain is still in development until the age of 25. Health officials and parents are frightened for the adolescents vaping because it harms the cells in the body and brain. Most have random mood swings when they don’t have their nicotine.
