On September 1, 2019, a hurricane hit the Bahamas. Around more than 20 people died and over 80 injured in the hurricane. The hurricane mainly hit the Abaco island & Grand Bahamas island. The prime minister Hurbert Minnis claimed that the death toll was expected to rise as storm rescue workers search the islands, according to USA Today. The hurricane has been named

Hurricane Dorian and has been categorized as a category 5 storm with winds up to 185 mph. Over 13,000 homes & other buildings were destroyed but they don’t have a final number and won’t until everything calms down. As of September 5, 2019 Hurricane Dorian is a category 2 on the southeastern coastline of the US and has hit South Carolina with flooding & tornadoes.
