According to Kathi Knight who is a graphologist, your handwriting says more about you than you know about yourself. Graphologists study the physical characteristics and patterns of handwriting claiming to be able to identify the writer, indicating the psychological state at the time of writing, or evaluating personality characteristics.

If you write out this sentence on a piece of paper “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog”, a graphologist would know almost exactly your personality traits. If you wrote the sentence in big bold letters then you’d be a more aggressive person, or if you write it tiny with little space between the words your shy, and more than likely an introvert, or your focused and have concentration.

But mainly what graphologists look for are the cursive y’s. If your y is broad then you have a bigger group of friends, but if it touches/loops under the words underneath the y your more likely to be emotionally disturbed. All of this is very useful not only to determine your personality but to be able to find out who someone is from a note. Some people are skeptical of this sort of practice because they don’t believe that just from your writing style someone can identify your emotions. Probably in the future scientists will be able to identify your emotions or mental state just from the way your blinking or breathing.
