Sunday night (February 11, 2018), at the Knights of Columbus an armed robbery occurred in Ridgecrest after a night of bingo. It happened on west Ridgecrest Blvd at around 9:30 pm. The suspect was wearing a mask to hide his identity and was armed with a pistol. The suspect made his way to the money, grabbed it and fled the scene. The case has yet to been solved and the search for the suspect was unsuccessful, although there is still an investigation regarding the incident. The suspect was described to be most likely caucasian or hispanic, medium build, approximately 5 feet and 9 inches in a black shirt and blue jeans.
